چکیده
This study investigated the true stress (σ)–true strain (ε) relationship up to plastic deformation limit in ferrite–pearlite (FP) steel at various temperatures. We found that a decrease temperature resulted an increase lower yield strength (LYS) and tensile (TS), both uniform total elongations. When was increased from 673 773 K, TS elongations decreased due blue brittleness. In σ–ε of FP temperatures, ε with correlated reduction cross-sectional area specimen. Microcracks were observed cementite plates as well tearing pearlite lamellae. The dependence fracture (σZ) small. particular, values σZ range ductile almost same, is applicable condition limit. ratio LYS 0.5, fraction brittle 50%.

True stress (·)true strain (3⁄4) relationships until just before fracture, i.e., the plastic deformation limit, were estimated by the stepwise tensile test and the Bridgman equation for various metals and alloys with different crystal structures. The estimated ·3⁄4 relationships were different from the nominal stressstrain curves including the conventional tensile properties. In the relation...

AZ31 magnesium alloy is considered as a promising alloy in various applications and industries. Furthermore, to design a proper hot working process (rolling, forging and extrusion), the assessment of hot working behaviour of the alloy is necessary. Accordingly, the hot deformation behaviour of AZ31 alloy was studied through hot compression testing method This was carried out in a wide range of ...
متن کاملThe Strain Dependence of Post-Deformation Softening during the Hot Deformation of 304H Stainless Steel
Experiments were carried out in which the dependence of the fractional softening on temperature, time and strain rate was determined in a 304H stainless steel. Three prestrain ranges were identified pertaining to three different post-deformation softening behaviors: 1) prestraining to below the DRX critical strain: strongly strain dependent softening by SRX alone with softening kinetics control...
متن کاملMODELING HIGH TEMPERATURE FLOW BEHAVIOR OF AN AL 6061 ALUMINIUM ALLOY
Hot deformation behavior of a medium Cr/Mn Al6061 aluminum alloy was studied by isothermal compression test at temperatures range of 320 to 480 °C and strain rates range of 0.001 to 0.1 s −1. The true stresstrue strain curves were analyzed to characterize the flow stress of Al6061. Plastic behavior, as a function of both temperature and strain rate for Al6061, was also modeled using a hyperboli...
متن کاملCalculation of MnO Activity in Aluminate Slags at Various Temperatures
In this research, the activity of MnO, produced during steel making in aluminate-rich slags, was investigated. According to thermodynamic equations and mathematical calculation, a series of relations was obtained for evaluation of oxide activity using Masson’s theory. The obtained relations were solved according to Levenberg- Marquardt method and using Matlab software. The results were correlat...
